The Golden Five

Today I want to play a gaming guessing game. I wonder if you'll work out the highest grossing games. Let's use 5 of the classic games genres to view. Pretty great. Like when viewing my Starcraft 2 T shirt.

Ok let’s dive right in

It’s time to get sporty. Great big genre time. Bowling. Possibly tiger woods. It could even be Madden. Nope. It's the new kid wii sports. It's a new release that's flashing all the cash in this genre now.

1st person shooting. There isn't too many to choose from here. A PC based one. One of the one’s would get stuck a third of the way through and you’d have to reload. Duke. Definitely not. The truth is Halo three.

Strap yourself in. RPGs are in the plentiful. FF 7. A year long game adventure. How about a modern powerhouse like Starcraft 2. Not this time. It's those Pokemon on the DS.

What do we have next. Brain trainers. Dominoes the old classic. It was always going to be this one. There is only one possibility. The ultimate Puzzle game. Tetris. Absolutely incredible.

The arcade genre classic. Get ready for the fighting classics. This one is really hard to call. EA MMA could be well positioned with the growing MMA fans. VF 4 a classic of the VF series for all you lovers. Smash brawl takes this one. Darn it.

Did you honestly expect those to be the top earners. Mobile phone games will be up there pretty soon. Earning the big bucks must be an art form.

A few interesting one's I wasn't expecting. Tricky to predict. The DS, Snes, and Wii are owning the sales here. It will happen sooner rather then later. One of the big online games must be coming close soon. There is no arguing. However good starcraft 2 books and it’s comrades may be, you can’t beat the classics.
